Sizing and fit

Can I order a different size top and bottom?

Yes. Every full set has two independent size selectors, one for the top and one for the bottom. A medium top with a large bottom is a normal order and costs the same as a matched set. No message or special request is needed.

What if my two sizes are more than one step apart?

Buy the pieces separately. Every design is sold as an individual top and an individual bottom as well as a full set, each with its own size selector, so any two sizes can be combined. See buying a bikini in two different sizes.

What sizes do you carry?

S, M, L and XL, depending on the design. The size selector on each product page shows what that particular piece is available in.

Is there a size chart?

Most product pages carry a chart with the garment's own measurements in centimetres — cup height, width and underbust for tops, and front height, width, waist and back measurements for bottoms. It is designed for comparison against a bikini you already own, measured without stretching it.

I am between two sizes — which should I pick?

On the bottom, size up — swim fabric relaxes once it is wet. On the top, size down — support comes from the band, and a loose band is what makes a top ride up. More in why bikinis ride up, dig in or gape.

Which cut should I choose?

It depends on what tends to go wrong for you. An underwire demi-cup gives the most support; adjustable-side bottoms suit anyone between hip sizes; one bottom in the range has no side seams at all. Bikini styles explained maps each cut to the problem it solves.

Materials and construction

What are the pieces made of?

The fabric is 90% polyamide and 10% elastane, with a 100% polyamide lining. The polyamide carries the structure and colour; the elastane is what lets the piece stretch and return to shape.

Will the metal trims rust in the sea?

The trims and charms are 18k gold-plated Zamac, chosen specifically because it is made not to oxidise in contact with seawater. Hardware is usually the first component to fail on swimwear, and when plating corrodes it stains the fabric around it.

Do the tops have removable padding?

The triangle, halter and demi-cup tops all have removable padding. The product page for each piece lists its accessories.

The crochet range

Is the crochet really handmade?

Yes — made 100% by hand, in collaboration with more than 60 artisans. Because the work is done by hand, small variations in tension and finish between pieces are normal and are the character of the work rather than a fault.

What does "reversible" mean?

Both faces of the piece are finished to be worn outwards, so one crochet set gives two looks. It is not a lined piece worn inside out. What makes a bikini genuinely reversible explains how to tell the difference.

Does crochet need different care?

The rules are the same, but drying flat matters more. A crocheted piece holds far more water than a woven one and will stretch out of shape if it is hung up wet. It also snags more easily.

Care

How should I wash my swimwear?

Rinse in cold fresh water immediately after every wear, before anything dries. Then hand wash in cool water, press the water out without wringing, and dry flat in the shade. No machine, no tumble dryer, no bleach, no fabric softener.

Why does my swimwear lose its shape?

Chlorine, salt, UV and heat all break down elastane, and elastane is what holds the fit. The damage is cumulative and cannot be reversed — but the rinse-immediately habit slows it down more than anything else. Full routine in caring for swimwear in the UAE.

Can I dry it in the sun?

Dry it in the shade. UV degrades elastane and fades dye, and in the Gulf that happens quickly.

Yes. Delivery within the UAE is free and same-day on orders placed before 2 PM.

Wearing it in the UAE

Is swimwear acceptable in public in the UAE?

Yes. Swimwear is normal and expected at beaches, hotel pools, beach clubs and water parks. The rule that catches people out is covering up when you leave those areas — swimwear is not worn in streets, malls, shops or taxis. See the Dubai beach and pool dress code.

When is the best time of year for the beach?
